What things have gone wrong with the car?
My oil pan leaks at the plug.
My left, front wheel squeaks.
The driver's side window did not roll up. The power-window control box was messed up.
The Bose amplifier was blown. The stereo system had to be completely re-wired.
The transmission does not work well at all. It will get stuck in 3rd gear, and then, it will jump back and forth between 2nd and 3rd gear for no reason. Shifting down into D3 solves this problem temporarily, but this still means it will only get up to 3rd gear, and then, eventually it will just get stuck in 2nd gear. This is what causes high running costs. The gas mileage probably drops down to 8 miles per gallon.
Plastic pieces have broken on the inside.
It seems to be an attractive target for people to hit.
The leather seats are torn and dried up.
The rear fold-down seat does not latch to the locking mechanism.
The plastic light bulb holders for brake lights broke, so I had to tape them in.
The left door does not close right, and it does not hit the sensor, so the light that shows when a door is open, is always on.
The cooling fan stays on after the car is turned off for up to 30 minutes. This drains the battery.
The power-steering fluid leaked for a while.
The brakes are very sponge-like, even after bleeding the brakes. They do not stop very quickly.
General comments?
This car would be good if it didn't have so many problems.
I love the way it drives when it drives, or when it gets up into 4th gear.
The acceleration is horrible due to the incredibly bad shifting.
At least the stereo works well. Of course, I had to fix it all to make it work.
