1987 Honda Accord LX-i review from North America
"Best gas mileage for a 16 year old car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Muffler fell off at 157450 Miles.
Power windows need adjusting.
Passenger side door handle busted and no longer opens the door.
I thought the tilt steering didn't work, but I just didn't know how to operate it.
Driver side front fender is dented in, also the headlight next to it is not facing as forward as the other headlight.
General comments?
This wonderful car gets excellent gas mileage. We took it on a 632 mile journey and only used a tank of gas. It has a 16 gallon tank so that means that the car got about 39.5 miles to the gallon. I did a full tune up on the car just before we went on this trip. It only costed around $30 to go 632 miles with gas prices at an average price of $1.84 /gallon. It didn't do too great climbing over to mountain passes as far as speed. But it never came close to overheating. I have written a review about this car before, but I don't know how to update it so this is the update on that review. If you find an accord like this one with less than 150,000 miles on it buy it you'll be glad you did.
