1987 Honda Accord LX-i review from North America
"Nice reliable car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gaskets and seals started leaking at 90000 miles.
Bumpers were faded when I bought it.
Paint is starting to crack.
General comments?
I have now owned this car for a year and a half and it has never broken down on me. The only problem that I seem to have is I can't get the car to stop leaking oil. After a series of getting transmission seals replaced ($650), and just about every other seal and gasket fixed ($1000), it still continues to leak from the rear main seal (very minor).
Overall for the age of this car it is very advanced both in looks and performance. Not to mention it get 30 miles to the gallon on average. None of my friends could believe this car is a 87 and are disapointed they spent so much money buying their cars when they found out I only paid $1500 for mine.
