Well, the only thing that has really gone wrong with the car that I have noticed so far is the sunroof leaking. It's not pleasant getting in the car in the morning to go to work after a long night of rain to have a wet seat and a waterfall down your back from water sitting in the headliner.
Also, I can see that there is a minor gas leak by the gas tank. I can fix that one though and it won't cost me more than 2 dollars.
This car is awesome. It's peppy, extremely reliable, handles like a glove, and is comfortable. Gas mileage is amazing and there isn't a thing on the car that isn't functioning correctly. I am a Honda owner for life.
I have the same problem with my sunroof leaking. Did you ever get yours fixed and if so how much did it cost?
I have the same problem with my 1988 Honda Accord, that is that the sunroof is leaking. If you know a surefire answer to the solution please let me know otherwise I will be bringing it to the dealership : (
thanks, Milena.
I also had the problem with my 88.
I'd imagine you would just purchase a new seal from your local honda dealer.
I'm not sure how much it is, but I know it's not top priority right now.
I can sympathize with the first person on this one, the cold shower is not fun. First time I had it happen it was in April when we had a spring rain/slush/sleet shower which helped push water under the seal and freeze pushing the gab bigger.
I got in the car (at work to quick run to one of our other buildings and stopped at the end of the driveway which is a declining slope and "whoooooooosh" ("what the hell was that" was the first thing that came to my mind)
since then it's only happened one other time after which I shoved some papertowels in the opening of the headliner to soak up any excess, but I think the drains that I believe are located at the front and rear corners of the headliner finally cleared themselves as I haven't ever had this problem again in the last two years.
I'm guessing your problems may be related to clogged drains.
I'm not sure how to get to them short of pulling the headliner. Also, I haven't actually looked into them, but was told by someone else (with different car) that this was their problem.
Hope this helps,
Jeremy.
Open the Sun roof all the way up and check the drain holes in the corners. They often become blocked by dirt, leaves and what ever else can get in there.
