1989 Honda Accord LX review from North America
"An affordable, quality car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I had to replace the master cylinder at 161,000.
At about 165,000, I had to replace the heater core. This was a pain in the neck because I chose to do it myself. However, had I paid someone else to do it, it would have been quite expensive. It was worth it to me.
Other that that, nothing major.
General comments?
First of all, I deliver pizzas, so I drive the car anywhere from 100-175 miles a day. I have had enough constant road time to say that this is the most dependable car I have ever driven.
The only things I have noticed is that, due to my job, routine things seem to roll around more often. For example oil, brake pads and all of the other "dummy" type of things.
For its moderate 2.0 bbl engine, this car has some serious "get up and go"! She is a 5 speed manual, and from the first time that I drove her, I loved how peppy she is.
The Gas mileage is also great. I usually average 32-36 mpg on regular, which I am very happy with.
For the price, you can't beat it. It is a great first, second, or third car! Over all, I love this Car!
