1996 Honda Accord LX review from North America
"Extreme reliability"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Overall, nothing major has gone wrong on this car. The only things that I have paid to replace have been the power window regulators on both front windows.
General comments?
This vehicle is extremely low maintenance and an excellent choice for a first car, or a daily driver.
Hondas are known for their extreme reliability, and as long as you keep up with the basic maintenance, they will last a long time.
These cars seem to hold their value, and when it comes time to sell mine, I expect that I will still get a large part of my money back.
My only complaint about my Honda is the lack of power: this is no BMW. With the stock automatic transmission, this car lacks in acceleration until you reach high RPM. This, however, does not change the fact that it's still a great car. When you go several years without any huge maintenance repairs, you will thank yourself for buying such a quality made automobile.
