1986 Honda Accord DX sedan review from North America
"Cheap, reliable car that transported me in comfort for over ten years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
CV joints
upper control arms (front and rear)
clutch
brakes
exhaust system
rust in rear wheel wells
alternator
radiator
a/c condenser
starter
oil pan
rear left window lifter (kind of surprising)
General comments?
I've learned to fix most things on the car. You should always use genuine Honda parts b/c they last longer than aftermarket parts.
This car has taken me across the US and up to Prince Edward Island in Canada.
Performs well in snow.
Unfortunately, Keihin a/c compressor is not a good candidate for R134a use.
Still drives well, but I don't have as much time to keep replacing worn-out parts.
