Nothing. This car is perfect.
I didn't need to shop for a car because I knew the Accord was the one for me. And I was right. This car has been solid and reliable the whole time I've had it. The seats are comfy, the ride is smoother than a Cadillac, and the motor is super peppy. I looked at a Buick Century also, but that car didn't ride anywhere near as good as the Honda does. Plus, the Buick had less room in it, and is smaller in size. Hands down, this Accord is the best bang for the buck there is out there. You can't go wrong with one of these!
This Review sounds like a Honda Dealer for me.
"This car has been solid and reliable the whole time I've had it."
The entire DAY you've owned it?? Wait a few months before you write the review.
I second the first comment. This definitely sounds like a Honda dealer.
Get some miles on that Honda, then we will see.
Smoother than a Cadillac? Roomier and larger than a Buick Century? The Buick is a larger car, and the Cadillac has a MUCH smoother ride than the Accord. This review sounds more like somebody that just wants to slam GM products, rather than an account from an actual Accord owner.
I forgot to add, the Buick has more room in it as well.
I'd hardly call the 25 mile point a time when you can determine if your car will be "solid and reliable" as you put it, or not. Many cars have more mileage than that at the time they are sold new at the dealership.
That's exactly what's not to like!
Honda / GM is just a bad comparison. I own an old Cadillac that I dearly love for it's floaty ride, big size, great looks and overall camp value. I also own a new Honda Accord that I love very much for its tight handling, road feel, performance, refinement. I never compared it to Buicks or Caddys when I was shopping for it, because it's a whole different driving philosophy. It's a great car, but "nice ride" in the Cadillac sense is something it does not have at all.
Yeah, I'm sure it is smoother than a Cadillac. You said yourself you didn't shop around, how would you know?
Its not smart buying a car without shopping around for other brands first. Honda has just as many lemon vehicles and Toyota, GM, Ford, and the rest of them.
In response to the review as well as the above comments, I must say, first, that it is ridiculous to say that an Accord is larger and more spacious than a Century. I have a 2003 Century, and have driven a new Accord (test). The Accord is a fine car, as is the Century. But come on. The proper addition to this review would be something like "My Accord out-accelerates Porsches, space shuttles, and laser beams. I once put three Greyhound buses in the trunk, and a third-world country in the backseat. And still had room for groceries."
Apparently this person has not owned this car very long. I loved my Accord the first few months, but then the problems started.
Just another person who's fallen for this advertising barrage that all Japanese cars are automatically perfect.
G6 and Malibu are roomier, better in initial quality. As far as long term durability, we'll see. I'm not convinced that this latest generation of Hondas can stack up. Also the Malibu and G6 get comparable 4-cylinder mileage and better V-6 mileage than Accord.
