"I'm afraid of calling this car a lemon, but it appears to be yellow"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Front rotors have warped 3 times.

The torque converter unlocks on

deceleration often. Dealership cannot find this problem. It has to make the "Engine Light" come on!

Intermittent wipers while on fast usually stays on continuously. This too is normal according to the dealer.

CD player skips on minor cracks in the road. Nothing dealer can do with that!

Air conditioner pump clunks hard when first turned on. Running it in the city drops the gas mileage severely. I usually don't drive it hard. The clunk is "Normal" according to dealer.

The 5 speed automatic transmission does not shift from 3rd to 4th when it should, 4th to 5th and 5th to 4th when it shouldn't in the mountains. smart transmission my foot! This transmission needs some way to lock it in 4th gear..

The cooling fans start and stop when the engine is cold.

When vent is closed you touch any other button on panel and it opens the vent. Dealer claims this is normal. Bull.. It didn't do it until 10 or 11 months after I bought it.

Ignition key used to be quite hot when removed. Dealer said this was normal, but after they looked at it the excess heat was gone.

General comments?

I bought this car 7-2004. I had the rotors turned at 7000 miles the 1st time. The 3rd time at 24000 miles. The dealer said this was the last time and it was a courtesy. The way I read the warranty, the brake pads and shoes are covered only 12000 miles, not the rotors.

This dealership seems to think Honda drivers are ignorant people.

I owned a 97 Accord and it was a great car, unfortunately it was wrecked. I assumed that I was getting an equally fine automobile. Honda has lost a customer in me.

Aside from the brakes, the A/C pump, and the CD player, The problems seem to me to be electrical.

The dealer claims that brake rotors are warping because I live in the mountains of northern CA. I think it is poor engineering on Honda's part and a huge mistake to blame the customer.

As soon as I can afford it, this car is out of here!

Yes, I think you have a lemon! I was looking to buy a used vehicle, was thinking of a Honda 2001 or 2002. But after reading the reviews/comments I'm not sure. Thanks for posting Your review.
