1985 Honda Accord review from North America
"Honda's quality is evident in this car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Just a few expected repairs... New parts are very cheap, and replacing them was fairly simple with the help of repair manual and boyfriend!
Alternator.
Distributer (done myself!)
Breaks.
Head-gasket.
Fuel Pump.
Water Pump.
Heater Core.
The cost for replacement parts in total has been about $400. Not bad considering the car was free!
General comments?
This has been an excellent car for a college girl. Cheap to maintain, great gas mileage (23/25 mpg) Not the hottest car in the parking lot, but its fun to drive (surprisingly quick!). 260000 miles on the engine/transmission, and still running like a champ. Also, the car is simple to work on, almost anyone who has some basic understanding of autos and a repair manual can fix the minor problems I have had.
