1996 Honda Accord EX review from North America

Had a few problems starting up.

Inner wheel well cover on the front right side is broken.

Clear coat on left fender is peeling a bit.

A/C not cold.

Master clutch leaks.

Rear breaks needs to be replaced.

I bought this car back in 04 at an independent auto dealer. Black Wolf (yeah I gave my car a name) had 119k miles on him when I bought him. There were a few problems right after I bought him.

First problem was the A/C. The A/C was blowing cold air when my dad test drove Blackie, but right after we bought him, the A/C was no longer cold. I guess I'll have to get the A/C refilled.

Another not so big of a problem I found out is that either the previous owner had an accident or the car was stolen and who ever was driving at the time had an accident so the whole front bumper plus the radiator had to be replaced. Also, the drivers side handle looked like someone was trying to pry it off with a screwdriver.

The Master Clutch leaking was due to age and the driver (me). This car is the first stick shift I ever drove and on the first few months of driving, I was harsh with the clutch.

Even though there were some problems, those problems are just regular wear and tear on cars with over 100k miles.

On the plus side, the car handles so great! I never had any problems with going up hills (except when theres a red light since I drive a stick) and I love the power of the V-tec when I drive onto the freeway.

Sure the engine is loud when it's at high RPMs, but hey, I love the sound of that V-tec kicking in at 3,500 rpm!

The car is all out good even though someone tried to steal him. Never had any big problems with Blackie yet and not expecting it soon.
