2001 Honda Civic Si(EX inU.S.?) review from North America
"Decent and reliable transportation without the love"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front and rear struts replaced under warranty at 20000 km
Seat would rock in it's track, fixed once under warranty, and once by me just after warranty expired. Not happy about it since it did it most of the time the car was covered and was never fixed properly.
General comments?
This car has been reliable, but in the same way that a blender is reliable... it does it's job, but it's not very inspiring.
Suspension quality is TRASH. Rides rough and handles sloppily despite 17 inch rims & rubber. Stock 15 inch wheels rode slightly better, which is to say poorly, but handling really went south then.
Lots of road noise.
Interior materials are a little substandard, seats are good, but dash and door panels are more Sunfire than Integra.
I'd gladly give up 5 mpg for some more (any?) torque. Motor's got nothing below 3500rpm, but to make up for it, at least it has next to nothing at redline.
I like the exterior styling, but had no idea they had the technology to apply paint this thin.
