2007 Honda Civic ES review from UK and Ireland
"Great fun"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Only a slight rattle from the passenger side of the dashboard.
General comments?
I love this car.
The styling may not be to everyone's taste, but it looks great to me. Check out the triangular exhausts, rocketship-like door handles and front light cluster.
ES spec Civics are fully loaded, the only things really missing being leather seats and integrated sat nav. Seats are very comfortable.
The car is very spacious on the inside, seating four adults comfortably. This is the first hatchback that I've been able to sit in the back of without hurting my legs (I'm over 6 ft tall).
The 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine is great, giving good economy coupled with decent power for its size. It puts out 140bhp. The fun really starts when you rev it past about 5000 rpm! It is mated to a nice 6 speed manual transmission. Honda's semi-auto i-shift is an option.
I probably would have bought the 2.2 litre turbodiesel version of this car but it is not available in my country.
