2007 Honda Civic LX review from North America
"Overated and Overpriced"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Has proven reliable, but that is to be expected with a car that is practically new.
Good looking car.
Good cornering.
Good Stereo.
BUT:.
Clunky Manual shifter.
Abrubt Clutch action.
Paint chips and scratches easily.
Blotchy paint.
Brakes are too touchy and feel spongy.
Seats show dirt and wear too easily.
Engine has started to sound like a lawn mower.
General comments?
Power steering is overboosted and provides poor road feel and makes car feel darty especially at highway speeds.
Serious Lack of Torque.
Poor visibility.
Gimmicky dash with digital speedo gets annoying as does video game gas gauge and temperature gauge.
Suspension is too harsh and lacks sufficient travel when you hit a large bump it feels like it bottoms out.
Lack of headroom especially in the coupe with sunroof.
Not as good on gas as advertised.
Seat fabrics feel cheap.
My opinion is that Honda is overated and overpriced so shop the competition before you buy into the hype.
Just my two cents ;)
