1998 Honda Civic DX review from North America
"If you look up reliability in the dictionary, you'll see a pic of a Civic!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced battery around 78,000. That's it. Otherwise all is fine.
The paint looks like it could use some help, but after 10 Maine winters, what do you expect?!
General comments?
Man this car is awesome. 28-30 mpg highway and runs smoothly as the day I bought it. I am so pleased with this car (my fourth of 5 Hondas).
My only question is when will Honda bring out a diesel electric hybrid? I was so close to buying a HX when I went for the cheaper DX. I wish now that I had bought the HX. This time I will buy the higher efficiency model.
I'll be looking to sell this car in late 2009 or 2010 when it will still run great (no doubt), but I'll want something that gets higher mileage.
