1989 Honda Civic LX review from North America
"One of the greatest cars built... Period"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The switch that controls the windshield wipers is limp, and one of the door locks is missing. Also one of the power windows needs some assistance to go all the way up.
General comments?
This car, although small, is surprisingly roomy (I am 6ft 290lbs) and the ride is pretty comfortable considering how low it is to the ground.
My family has used this car to do everything from make long trips to haul wood. This car is extremely reliable. There have been many occasions where my brother and I have had to be picked from somewhere because of mechanical problems... none of which were the Honda.
Before I got the car it had been sitting up for more than a year. To get running all it needed was a new battery and a oil change, as well as some spark plugs and a new air filter. This car also has some things I wish more cars had, for example a ridge on the dashboard to throw stuff. Another thing is GLASS LENSES!!!
This car can turn around in place... not literally but you get the picture. I think my favorite part of this car is that it only takes $10 to put it at a half tank of gas.
