1993 Honda Civic VX review from North America

The white one I owned just wasn't meant to be. It spent more time parked than any other that I ever had.

Every owner, three total, was hit by another driver in the driver side door and front wheel. I don't believe in curses. I inherited the car from my mother, who bought it from the original owner.

This car is slow to accelerate, compared to my 1990 Civic Si. The original owner got hit, fixed and sold to my mother, who was hit making a left hand turn onto a main street from a drive way. My mother gave me the car when she bought an automatic, and left it on the street were it was stolen and stripped, without insurance.

I replaced all, drove for less than a year and was hit coming off the freeway turning left on a yellow light by a 19 yr old male in a black BMW that he admitted he couldn't afford and hoped was totaled. He lied and said I ran my light. Police could not determine who was at fault. I only had liability. I lost.

Brother replaced the Y joint, then took 3 years to replace the door and quarter panel, and I don't want to complain cause he's doing me a big favor. I never got the car back from him, but I've been paying insurance on it. Now he wants me to sell it to him for my 21 yr old nephew in Oregon, who thinks it gets 60 mpg. It gets 35 mpg, city or highway!

I drove it for over a year, and to Baker and back. Just doesn't seem fair. My car is getting too many miles on it and I really need that car. I'm going to talk to my nephew and tell him the truth about that car. Maybe he won't want it, or maybe he will. It was given to me. Seems I might let my nephew have it as my brother has helped me out so much, but I do wish he would consider that it is my car, not his and I need it badly.

Slow to accelerate, but handles well once the desired speed is achieved.
