2001 Honda Civic EX review from North America

Well I thought Honda's were good, at 4,000 the engine sometimes ticked when cold.. dealer checked it said it was normal..

Kept taking the car in, but they said it's normal, at 12,000 km the head gasket blew, then they replaced the valves and head.. got the car back and the ticking was gone.. nothing wrong from the get go.. think not.. front suspension had squeaks, and noisy shifting it from park to drive or reverse.

These annoying noises were getting to me, but as per usual dealer said no problems..

All this when the car was under 2 years old, my Neon I bought used never had an issue..

More annoying little squeaks, rattles then at 30,000 the timing belt went out again.. then 78,000 the trans went out. I still have the car with a new fuel pump, A/C compressor.. I can't believe the problems of this car. I know other Honda/Acura cars have headgasket, timing belt, water pump, transmission issues on newer models as per my mechanic told me at the dealership.

I use this car in the winter now just for a beater, I thought these cars were good, but it's just all hype. I bought it for its not bad looks, its a 2 door, fuel miles, and the so-called journalists opinions.. yeah they don't keep the car after a week, like they know.. I purchased a new Dodge Charger SXT in 2006 and have 41,000 km and never an issue, no noises etc.
