1995 Honda Civic CX review from North America
"I would buy one today if they still made them"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had to replace the rusty exhaust.
Horn died.
Clutch master cylinder went.
Rear wiper died.
General comments?
Really the greatest car ever. That's why I came here after losing her a year ago. I still love that car. Nine years and over 200,000 kilometers, and I spent less than a thousand dollars on non-maintenance related work. Only left me stranded when I left the lights on (no buzzer) and killed the battery.
Zippy, go-cart-like handling, and fuel economy that looks like the numbers for a diesel.
I had to get rid of her because I changed provinces, and safety and emissions work on a 15 year old car with 352,000 kms on her would have been ridiculous. I was forced to get a cheap, non-Civic as a replacement, and it's just not the same.
Hold on to your Civics boys and girls. Never let them go.
