1994 Honda Civic VTi 4dr review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Left side indicator alarm relay 'sticky' at 28,000mi, followed by right at 34,000. DIY bodged by ripping relevant wires free, because the alarm still works, and I can remember where I parked, thank you.
2 new radiators in less than 50,000mi, hmmm.
Clutch plate fractured and seized 48,000mi, 'never seen that one before', costly.
General comments?
Economy nothing special when driven sensibly, and betrays 100bhp/litre reality when driven hard. Over £1000 servicing in last 6 months, but dealer assures me this is exceptional. Very discreet, never given a second look, except by insurers (gp.18?!!). No chance of convincing Beemers they ought to pull over, tho' with 90 in 3rd you better believe they should!
