1995 Honda Civic EX review from North America

Since I've had the car, I have replaced the shoe pads on the brakes.

The rest has been oil changes.

I have to take my car this week for a timing belt and water pump replacement. since honda's engines require this replacement every 100,000 kilometers. I don't know the history of my car, so I'm just going to change it for safety.

Also, I have a noise in my car (a rattling noise from the engine, and a squeaking sound under the car) my mecanic diagnosed today that it's a mufler problem, since you hear it more when you shift gears, and speacially when you lift your foot from the gas pedal and push it again, that's when you hear the rattleing noise.

I also have a little squeak noise (not the same) when I press the clutch, and when I lift the gas pedal. it's another noise, not the same as the mufler. it sounds like there's some rusted parts, so I'm not worring about it, it comes and goes. after it rains, it's very noticeable.

Rust, rust, rust. my car is starting to show a little rust between the bumper and the body (rear wheal) and it's eating the body fast. I have to fix that as soon as the summer arrives.

My dad insists on me buying a more comfortable, and more powerful car.

I say, "no"!,... honda is realiable,... yeah, I got stuck on the major snow storm, but so what! I'm not buying a car just for snow, next time, i'll just stay home.

Honda is beautiful, you don't have to worry about anything. just change the oil, filters., etcc... lubrication, drive it carefully, don't abuse it. and have it checked by your honest mechanic at least once a year. trust me, going to the mechanic it's like going to the dentist, he knows what to look for in your car to determine if it has any problems. but be careful, 99% of mechanics, just want your money.

Look for someone who specialicez in honda and acura, and who is liscenced by honda. that's the way to go, don't take your car to a cheap mechanic who fixes all kinds of cars.

My car is beautiful, I'm going to take care of it, and drive it until it dies, and when it dies, then i'll buy another honda.
