Nothing, but then I have only had it for a week! (Just couldn't wait to tell the world!)
However...
I don't like:
- CD player is absolute rubbish, compared to the cassette player in my old Ford, distorting bass, flat mid range and tinny treble.
- Turning circle is huge, and a bit embarrassing when parking in tight spaces.
Wow this car is so quick!
What I like:
- Superb acceleration, handling and comfort.
- Great looking, in Vivid Blue Pearl, with the mesh grille and unique Type-S alloys.
- Automatic climate control, Part leather seats, chrome detailing (but not too much).
- Discreet looks, the total opposite of the boy racer Type-R, but with a lot of the performance.
With all due respect, you've had the car a week?
You're not even over the love-in phase yet.
At least give it a month.
The focus handles better is much quiter and has a much better solid all round feel to it. yeah the civic is faster, but your comparing to completely different cars. you want to be comparing it with the new st. not my cup of t, but its miles better to live with and better performance.
I totaly agree, you can't compare the performance of the 2.0 zetec to a type r. Focus is not as quick obviously, but build quality and handlig is better. then compare the type r to its rivals like the new focus st astra vxr mazda rx 8 leon cupra r and it doesn't look so good for the type r atall.

Type s is only about the same as the 2.0 focus. There isn't anything in it really. any one here from around dorchester/weymouth? well anyone who is will no what i mean. my type s will do 90 up this stretch. couldnt get past the focus but was right by him thought im sure in enough road he would have pulled away. dont let this put you off. i love my type s but i want to be honest.
The only reason people buy type-s is because you can't afford a type-r.
Or because you want a diesel...

The type S is not a "cheap alternative" to the type R. It's a different animal, 2 more doors, a spruced-up CRV engine (not a tamed type-R engine), cruise control, vehicle stability assist, etc.
It is significantly cheaper to insure (as a 35-yr old male certainly).
It's quick once it's revving above about 3500 rpm, very comfortable and handles like a dream in wet and dry.
Don't expect 40+ mpg; you won't get it.
