1993 Honda Civic VTi review from Australia and New Zealand
"Zippy little hatch and economical"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
Zippy little car and extremely economical, handles very well with good tyres. Brakes are a little bit on the weak side, but then it doesn't have the 4 wheel disks like the higher specced model.
Sound proofing isn't as good as some other hatches and does show in a bit of tyre noise on the open road.
It is comfortable on a long journey despite it's somewhat plastic interior.
The 1500 SOHC Vtec is a little screamer and puts up quite well with GT models (has been used in many motorkhanas). The small engine does get a bit bogged down however when there are 4 people in the car.
Wouldn't hesitate in buying another, although I would probably go for a higher spec with the leather seats and better brakes.
