2001 Honda Civic EX review from North America
"It's a wonderful, reliable car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My car had been wonderful, a complete delight to own. I purchased my Honda Civic EX the year the came out, 2001. The first problem began just about 1 1/2 months ago. The dealer thought the struts had blown out, both were replaced. Then the noise continued (knocking when going over a bump/the same). The dealer said the right strut had blown out again, it was replaced. The noise still continued. They changed a bushing. Need I repeat myself. Took it back, the dealer had my car for 2 weeks. They changed the struts (both) again and several right end parts. I got my car back on Dec. 4 with the same knocking noise. Now they're telling me the want to try to put the front end of a 2004.
The dealer has been great in trying to help us out, but I think the "Lemon Law" would be our next alternative. Has anyone else had the same noise/problem?
General comments?
I love my car, it's my first big buy. I really don't want to resort to the "Lemon Law" and give it up even though it would mean I would get another one.
