1990 Honda Civic Si review from UK and Ireland
"130bhp,8000 rpm, go kart handling, stealth wedge!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced normal wear and tear items, such as brake pads, tyres, with the only major thing being a clutch, which wasnt bad considering it still had the original one!
General comments?
An absolute excellent car in terms of value for money. With all the little extras this car has, such as bucket seats, discs all round, etc, this car was and still is well advanced for its size and insurance bracket.
As well as being extremely reliable, it is also a fast little car, with great response and brilliant at handling.
With its bucket seats, full electrics, (vtecs have leather),this little beast has it all, and feels special.
Being only 19 when I owned this, it was surprisingly easy to insure, and definately the fastest car a 19yr old can insure cheaply.
Sadly, these cars are getting old and rust does eat away at them, pay particular attention to sills, doors, arches etc, but most are pretty solid.
If you want 130bhp, strong chasis, and a great little package for a measly few hundred pounds, then buy one!!!
