1989 Honda Civic DX review from Malaysia
"The Civic is a stylish little car that will not look out of date"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Noisy, clicking sound from door hinges
The 2dr model has very heavy doors and this could hv imposed severe strain on the hinges.
Very high road/tyre noise.
Cooling system problem. Even though radiator is fullly filled and reserve tank is filled to the maximum mark, after a couple of days, with a cold engine, the reserve tank becomes full and the radiator has lost a bit of water.
Water entering the rear light cluster.
Had to drill a small hole in the bottom of the light cluster to allow water drainage.
General comments?
Very sexy, trendy shape (2 door version)
that will still look fresh for years to come.
The 1.5 liter carburettor model is sufficiently nippy for town driving and is quite economical.
