1997 Honda Civic dx review from North America
"Super car even for the big men like me"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not too much has gone wrong in this car.
O2 sensors went out at 150k miles ($15 each on ebay)
The distributor went out at 156k miles. Cost was $180 total parts and install at local shop.
Trans axles have started to go at 156k miles$75 each.
Then just reg stuff to keep it up. Plugs, wires, oil changes.
General comments?
This car is very reliable and pretty quick for a 1.6l 109 hp.
This car is also pretty roomy in the front. I am 300lbs and have no problem gettin in and out.
Back seats aren't too bad if you aren't too tall. I am 5'10 and can sit in the back no problem.
This car is a dream to hook up, and with headers, intake and full exhaust, gives you very noticable pickup and power.
I recomend this car to anyone who wants a great reliable car with great gas mileage. And parts are easy to come around.
