2006 Honda Civic LX review from Turkey
"Spoils the compact car owner"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
There is a slight clunking noise coming from the front right suspension.
General comments?
I have had this car for 3 weeks; it is black and has the Premium Package. Due to the high taxes from the Turkish government, they have produced a 1.6 liter version of the 1.8 being sold abroad. The car has 125 hp which is the most in its class (in Turkey). It has a 5 speed automatic which is not available in any other cars in its class. The size and interior space of the car is larger then its competitors. The interior design is awesome, gas mileage is good and it is cheaper then its competitors. Can't go wrong with this car.
I especially like the paddle shift option on the automatic. It lets you shift as if you were in a Formula 1 car from the steering wheel. The engine loves to rev and the on-ramp is quite fun through 1st and 2nd gear.
The interior is ivory and looks like it will get dirty really fast. The 16 inch rims are nice, but the 17 inch option was not available. I did not purchase the sunroof option because it was not a very innovative sunroof compared to what is out in the market (by Renault and Fiat)
I wouldn't trade this car for any of its competitors, but only for a 2.0 Liter I-VTEC if taxes weren't so outrageous here.
