2003 Honda Civic EX review from North America
"Doesn't seem to be the same quality as pre 2000 hondas"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear strut plate bad less than 20,000 miles.
Front struts failed less than 50,000 miles.
Interior cloth pilling since purchase.
General comments?
Car has been reliable overall. Very disappointed that the both front struts have failed so early. We've had older Honda's with up to 200,000 miles and the struts were never replaced and were always very solid while driving. A couple of Honda mechanics have told me that they have been surprised that Honda hasn't done anything about the strut problems (very unlike the Honda of old). Gas mileage has been good.
