1997 Honda Civic DX review from North America
"Dependable, but cheap just like the rest!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front CV boots (both sides), water pump, clutch master cylinder, shift boot, sun visor.
General comments?
All in all the Civic is the best small car available in the U.S. today. The one I have has no Power Steering, Air Conditioning and is the most basic car out there. The car has been very reliable, but I am a very picky person and with my vast knowledge of cars I have noticed many problems.
Poor sheet metal.
Poor paint.
Has too many annoying noises and vibrations.
Shakes and twitches on freeway.
Not able to get the alignment right.
Hood has rusted and causes vibrations that sound like a bad belt.
Loud and very slow.
Gear box is too loud and rough.
