2002 Honda Civic 4 door review from North America
"The 2001 2005 civic is an overpriced, overrated car... not a bad one, but not good price/performance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing Really, I am bored and just felt like writting a review about the Civic.
General comments?
I have owned 2 civics in my life.
-1992 CX Hatchback 1.5L
Amazing car, far better then all the competition at its time up to 1995
My first car and it got the beating of a lifetime yet never failed.
Got rid of it due to rust in classic civic areas, got smashed in the back, hood flew open and smashed the windsheild... it became a true reliable shitbox.
The 1.5L was VERY FAST for its size and advertised HP.
-1998 DX Coup 1.6L
Great car, looked amazing yet it seemed slower then the 1992 and spent more gas.
15km sideways impact cost over 3000$ damage... traded it for an 1995 accord.
My General opinion is that the civics just got more and more expensive offering less and less.
Only now, they released a new civic that I call the "Shuddle" And yes, it is an amazing car!
I presently own a 2002 hyundai elantra gt
2.0L 138hp 136tork
Yet the 1992 Civic seems faster and far more reliable
The 1.8l integra is also more fuel efficient and faster.
Honda Engins > Hyundai engins...
But hyundai is still as reliable.
Here is where Honda lost it up to 2005.
The 2001 2005 civic 4 door has an arm rest as an option.
It offers a small yet still decent 1.7l engin
Its TOO Basic
Its Weak past 100kmph
The seats are horrible...
Its too expensive for too little.
When an old man smashed my hyundai, I had the pleasure of driving a 2002 civic for 2 weeks.
When I got back in my Hyundai Elantra, I felt like I was driving a luxury car!
Used base Hyundai Elantra GT is 6000$ 8000$
Electric doors
2 airbags
electric windows
electric door locks
fog lights
mags
power steering
arm rest
2x cup holders
cd player 6 speakers (very good for base system)
Can control the delay in wipers
back wiper
daylights go off when handbrake is pulled up.
It also looks better! (like a Saab 900)
Used 2002 civic costs 1000 to 2000$ more for
an optional arm rest.
Thank you Honda for addressing this and making the new Civic what it is ment to be...
A Better Car then what the competition offers.
And the new Fit looks pretty nice!
Again, I was bored, and felt like giving my opinion on Honda Civics in general.
(Still driving my Elantra, within 2 years and a half I changed 1 baring, 1 timing belt (100000km) 1 or 2 lights, the back brakes once... that's it... so its VERY Reliable... and I eint no grandpa)
