2007 Honda Civic LX review from North America
"I like the car for it fuel economy"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
We are having problems with the car accelerating
when we put the brakes on.
When we come to a light it accelerates or when parking it accelerates. We throw it into park and the car revs up then slows back to normal. We have the car for 4 months and this has happened 4 times. We have taken the car to the dealer. They checked it out and said the floor mat may have caused it. They cut the mat and the problem has happened again. We do not think the mat is the problem.
Has anyone had a similar problem with these type of cars since the dealer doesn't seem to know what to do about it. We are afraid to drive the car. Who will pay for damages if we are not able to keep it from running into something when it is revs up.
Very disappointed. Bought the car because of its supposed reliability, but has not been proven true to us.
General comments?
Generally good car, but notice wind and road noise more them I am used to.
