2002 Honda CR-V EXL review from North America
"Honda???"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Having had a 1995 Ford Wind Star as my previous vehicle, I was very happy to be purchasing this supposedly great Honda CRV. With all my complaints about the FORD van, I am really thinking twice about Honda.
The wind (?) noise (what else could it be) in the CRV is horrible. With the sun roof open, it's even worse.
The interior gets marks almost by just looking at it.
No storage for anything more than your sunglasses. You can't use the cup holders and access the area below at the same time.
Not really impressed with the gas mileage it gets either.
I've had it for just over a year and when the check engine light came on, I took it to the local Honda dealer to diagnose what the check engine light meant... Wow, the fuel filler pipe and the gas cap need to be replaced at a cost of over $300.00. There is a special way to fill your car with gas? That wasn't in the driver training manual. Must be new.
I am not getting what the big hype is about Honda. Maybe 2002 wasn't a stellar year? Anyone else have filler pipe/gas cap issues?
