A/C stops working suddenly in the middle of summer. I took it to the dealer. They said it will cost me $3700, since they have to replace the whole A/C system. Very disappointing. I'll probably make someone else look at it, coz it seems OK to me, only not blowing cold.
Generally it is OK. I love the space and performance, but I am disappointed about MPG and suspension, and now the A/C.
My AC did the same thing, at 60,000 miles or so. I was told the same thing (about $3700) that there were metal fragments in throughout the system from where the compressor had failed, and the whole thing would have to be replaced. That was when (silly me) I discovered the warranty on this car (I bought it new) was only 30,000 miles. I have loved my 2000 Odyssey, I thought I would be getting the same reliability and quality in the CR-V, but was I ever wrong. I agree with everything the original reviewer listed, except he neglected to mention that it is also very loud on the highway, even with the windows up.
