"Without doubt the best car I've ever bought"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing.

General comments?

Without doubt the best car I've ever bought.

It is very comfortable, handles well, has a tiny turning circle compared with my wife's Integra and looks like a large car for carrying people and goods, rather than a tank - which some equivalents do.

It is an ideal compromise between a saloon and a utility, with great looks into the bargain.

Hondas have always suffered in the past from hard seats, but the CR-V has outgrown this and you can travel large distances with no bum fatigue at all.

I have just clocked 100,000 kms in my 2004 Australian delivered CRV sport auto. We have been on some difficult tracks in the north of South Aust, and sandy tracks in the south, and have carried 2 adults and 3 kids + all gear, but mostly metro driving.

Have had no issues, but upgraded the rear suspension with some stiffer springs, makes a big difference when loaded and towing.

Economy is OK, 11L/100 metro, but we live in the hills, 9L/100 on highway fully loaded, can't complain about that.

Would recommend this vehicle if you want a flexible economical car, but are not looking for sports car handling.

The 2.4L engine develops a good spread of power, when above 4000rpm the Vtec kicks in and gives a surprising amount of acceleration.
