Anti roll bar linkages, both sides.117K.
New battery, replaced original at 116k.
Brake pads replaced at 116k.
Brake piston on rear replaced at 115k.
Loads of welding for MOT @ 114K. Inner and outer sills both sides completely replaced. Hole by the fuel pump- tank had to be removed and cracked the fuel line. Welding in engine bay. Total cost of welding alone £450.
RUST! Around windscreen, rear quarter window and both wheel arches.
Sunroof packed up due to excess rust around recess and the sunroof tray has corroded to nothing almost.
Mechanically I have never owned a better built or more reliable car. The full service history I'm sure is important, but rare at this age.
The performance is superb even as standard. It will keep up with RS Turbos and anything else in it's class.
Officially recognised as a classic the mk1 CRX is just about the most fun you can have on four wheels. Sadly you just can't stop them from going rusty.
I have discovered that you can keep them from rusting. You simply must move to the desert. *grin*
The car is a great running car but they rust like no other. the entire bottom of my crx is rusted everywhere. the sway bar was so rusted it just fell t the ground and simply was not drivable until my gf's dad re-welded it all back together. I still don't trust it. but its so much fun:)
