1988 Honda CRX Si review from North America
"Poor mans sports car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I bought the car at 200k kms, I changed the essentials, timing belt and brakes and did a basic tune up.
The clutch went at 230k (I think b/c of my driving).
The rad developed a hole at 255k. It wasnt the stock one either. Replaced for 160$ (CDN).
At 300k, distributor went. At which point I decided to replace the engine, this is where this review stops b/c the new engine is JDM.
General comments?
The car is very nice handles well, a lot better than my old car (camaro). Gas in this little thing was amazing! I could go 550kms to the tank (45L).
I have done so many mods to this car it isn't really a US CRX anymore.
But when it was, a dream to drive and parts were cheap and readily avaliable.
If you can find one that is cheap, and not rusted out. Get one!
