1993 Honda del Sol S from North America - Comments

15th Feb 2003, 22:12

"All I have to say is it's a Honda!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The head gasket blew at around 140K miles.

The roof is a little squeaky, but definitely tolerable.

Replaced leaking clutch master cylinder at around 160K miles.

General comments?

My car has 181K miles on it and it has never left me stranded anywhere.

No one believes me when I tell them the year and the mileage.

It is a perfect example of Honda quality.

With its little 1.5 liter engine it can still take most cars off the line.

Dear Fellow 1993 Honda Civic del sol 1.5 Liter Owner.

Your experiences with your car is very similar to my own and I can appreciate what you have related.

You may wish to to refer to my own posting and respond to it as I am doing to yours.

Your posting is appreciated very much and I am always looking for similar 1993 1.5 liter del sol owners as my own.

If I did not have to use my car to go to work and back home every day I'd just love to strip this little car down to bare bones so as to make a street racer out of it!

I know that each and every item added to this little car adds weight (such as floor mats, seat covers, spare tire, manual tire inflation device, etc.).

Yet, I only want to use this car as an everyday car because it is so very economical and reliable.

With Best Regards.

Svelte Bat (the name of my del sol)
