2001 Honda Insight review from North America

This little electric hybrid has had no problems since I bought it new. The only thing I can ever remember replacing are things like tires bulbs that sort of thing.

This is a great car if you only need wonderful gas mileage. Its not very powerful and there is hardly any room for anything besides a few bags of grocery. The paint and interior has held up very well as it should for the outrageous price I paid for it new. This car is also very quiet it seems I can never tell when the engine is running or not and I was reading that some other owners complain of road noise, but I don't notice it. I can say this the car I owned before was also a gas miser it was a 1997 Geo Metro LSi with the 3-cylinder and 5-speed and I can say this that car also got wonderful gas mileage and I had room to carry passengers and a little cargo and I can say that it seemed more powerful more quick than the insight and I only paid around $10,000 for it brand new the insight was double that. The Geo was just as reliable as the Honda, but the interior didn't hold us nearly as well little things in the Metro would pop off or fade with time where the insight looks almost the same as I did when I bought it. I guess if I had to do it all over again I might have went back to the Chevy/Geo dealer and just have bought another Metro it would have saved me a lot of money... OH I almost forgot the Honda holds its value very well, but the Geo did not. It would be interesting to know which one was actually quicker. It seems to me the Metro was, but its been so long since I've driven it I don't remember.
