1991 Honda Integra ZX review from Australia and New Zealand
"Would have loved it if it was new"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
- First day I got the car, the alternator went. ($400 fix)
- Small seal broke in the transmission, there was no transmission fluid in the car.
- Faulty electrics. Head lamps would always work fine, but interior electrics would fail randomly. Rear brake light bulbs needed constant replacing.
- Water leaking through the boot rubbers. Took rubbers off and discovered lots of rust. Also leaking into boot. Started to see rust appearing around the spare tire.
General comments?
This car was a real hassle for me. Granted the car is getting on a bit, but I gave up on this car and bought another.
There were lots of cons as listed above, but there were some good points to the car.
Interior is well appointed for the age of the car.
The car handles very good (even in the wet). Fun to drive when it was working.
Cheap on gas.
Comfortable and felt safe.
No rattles or funny noises.
Engine was perfect, transmission was bullet proof (drove it for a couple of weeks with no transmission fluid in it without realising).
