2005 Honda Jazz sport Auto review from UK and Ireland
"Its forte is fuel economy and versatility- ace"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Zero problems.
General comments?
This is the kind of car you should buy if you want economy, reliability, funky looks and versatility. The Jazz can return 41mpg around town which is impressive for an automatic. Being a Honda I've had no problems and don't expect to. The rear seating is pure genious. Ours is the facelift sport with a bodykit and natty electric folding mirrors with indicators.
Now the not so good... The Jazz is pretty boring to drive- the steering does not self centre fast enough if at all at times, and sometimes it feels vague. Performance has been sacrificed for economy, sometimes very sluggish off the line. The engine is willing in midrange, but lacks punch. The 7 gears are novel, but a bit unnecessary, once over 3,500 rpm the engine booms- as it only revs to 6000rpm it's low revving nature is the cause of this.
Found it to be quite expensive from Honda dealers, but depreciates very slowly. Impressive refinement.
