2001 Honda Odyssey EX from North America - Comments

Suspect transmission problem.

I own a 2001 Honda Odyssey, which I bought new.

It now has 78000 miles. The traction control light and engine light illuminated as well as slipping noticed with gear changes (engine rev with 2-3 sec delay with very hard gear change etc...). No problems with Van until now. I called my local Honda dealer and was told they wanted to evaluate my problem ASAP.

Sorry to hear about your transmission going bad.. slipping means the gear will soon break.. the Honda dealer should replace it FREE OF CHARGE..

Your car should still be under the warranty, which last up to 109k miles.
