2000 Honda Odyssey LX review from North America
"This car has been one big service nightmare"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Starting one year after I purchased this vehicle the middle row seat belts have failed to retract 6 times resulting in a seat belt replacement 5 times and repair 1 time. The problem has occurred 3 times on each belt in the middle row. The most recent 4 problems have occurred within the last 1 year and 20,000 miles.
The transmission went at 85,000 miles and was replaced under warranty.
General comments?
While the belts have all been under warranty the dealer cannot explain why this continues to happen. Since my vehicle seems to be the only one this continually happens to, Honda America customer service has been completely unresponsive. I am not at all comfortable with my children (or anyone else) riding in this row of seats any longer for fear the retractor would fail in an accident.
