Purchased car in 2004, for the past 8 months the shift lever gets stuck in park or drive at least 3-4 times a week. Sliding doors jam up whenever this happens. Taken to Honda dealer 4x already, and still trying to fix problem. Cost of $600 so far with another $600 estimate. American Honda says we have to pay for this because we did not purchase extended warranty. Who would do this with predictions of such early problems??? Car is still new!!! Very disgusted and unsatisfied.
Sorry you got taken in by the Japanese car myth. Honda is NOTORIOUS for numerous serious problems, and for not fixing them. You should have bought a domestic. Import "quality" started becoming a joke about 5 years ago. Check out all the problems Nissan and Toyota are having.
Seriously I have heard that Ford, Chrysler and GM are having the problems!!! I guess all minivans are out of the question except maybe the new Ody or Sienna. I can only buy a new Freestar from Avis and GM just stopped making vans... This leaves only the Caravan and TC which are very behind the new competition!!! Do you work at the Saint Louis manufacturing plant for Chrysler Corporation?
