"Very fast, sporty, somewhat cheap, dream car"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The floors were rusted badly and had to be patched a lot before inspection.

When I got it the brakes were in bad need of replacing front to back.

The exhaust needed replacing at 130,000.

The drivers seat was torn.

The body had to be repaired VERY badly.

The trunk leaked.

CV boots needed to be replaced.

Brake lines were rusted badly.

General comments?

The body and floor were very bad and needed a lot of patching to look good again, but they are not by any means very good.

The car was cheap to operate (if you do the work yourself).

The car only left me stranded 2 times. The first to go was the voltage regulator located on the passenger fender well (little black box). The second time the alternator went.

The Honda performed very well and could handle like a dream. The fastest I ever had it going was 200km. It would beat most stock 6 cylinders.

If the car has carb troubles do not buy it. The carbs can only be set by the dealer and is very costly.

I had 2 ludes - an 84 (parts) and an 87 (daily driver), both had carburator problems that I fixed myself, but I agree faulty carbs on these models are a pain in the ***! Honda owners TAKE CARE OF YOUR CAR BODIES, otherwise they are bulletproof machines!!!
