1985 Honda Prelude XX review from North America
"I love this car!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The fog lamps don't work.
The choke is erratic.
The stereo has only AM and FM (and has no frequency display) and the cassette failed.
General comments?
I purchased this car from a Japanese importer so this is a Japanese model. It has right hand steering and NO rust.
Generally this car is in exceptional condition.
The paint looks brand new, under the car as well as on the top. Even the little yellow paint dabs on the chassis look fresh.
The previous owner looked after this car, although, I guess all of the cars driven in Japan avoid rust.
I love the handling of this car. It feels like I can pitch it into corners at any speed and it stays neutral.
The motor is smooth and responsive. It's too bad I have an automatic. However, in the middle (three speed) position it is still fun to drive.
I am a little disappointed with the fuel economy (30mpg) but I'm getting used to it.
I love this car!
