1989 Honda Prelude Si review from North America
"A sporty car. Just get a low price or it will not excite you for your buck"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
All maintainance. New timing belt at 200,000 miles.
New water pump. Complete tune up.
Bi pass hose went bad I replaced it.
Alternator bolt aged and broke so I replaced it.
Electrical problem with the starter wire's well I don't blame the car it was a fuse from the old alarm system.
The car just needs new parts. They are no problems.
But I can't afford to invest my money in this car because of low resale value due to it's mileage.
General comments?
This car handles great. Took some fast corners and it grip's the road the ride is low and stiff no body lean. The double wishbone suspension make's it faster on the wide bends. The braking is also good with it's standard 4 wheel disc. The back seat could of been bigger. The si is the best power windows, mirrors, moonroof.
