2001 Honda S2000 GT review from UK and Ireland

First S2000 nothing, only recalls.

Second S2000 badly fitting hard top connectors, oxygen wiring loom and alarm wiring loom. Also was badly balanced and tyres quickly worn from new without any knocks.

Third S2000 ordered and awaiting delivery - we will see!!!

S2000 addict?? I think so!

I am now on my third s2000 a recently ordered nurenberg blue with blue leather which I am awaiting with some anticipation.

I have had many performance/soft top cars from a young age, but none quite like the S2000. It is reliable, balanced, forgiving (in the dry) and one of the most fun cars I have had. I love the hard top and the look it gives the car (in the winter it makes things warmer and a little cosier).

The latest S2 (2005) has more torque and a different feel from the 17" tyres (but then have all been slightly different - the first was raw the second more refined - much better with the glass rear screen!).

I have chosen this time to be (for me) different in terms of the colour. I have chosen - pale blue with blue leather and I look forward to travelling around switzerland and austria in a more summery colour.

What is fantastic about the car is it that it appeals to all sorts (my mum loves it, my sister loves it and my friends love it) and is adaptable (even for my rather large dog who sits in the passenger seat - with a seat belt of course - dog version much to the consternation of all when the top is down or going around a roundabout).

All in all, I love the car and my husband loves taking it to le-mans every year along side the ferrari, morgans et al.

What more could I ask for.
