1997 HSV GTS VS review from Australia and New Zealand
"Can still match it with the best"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The poor design of the battery location makes lifting the battery in and out a nightmare.
General comments?
For it's size and weight it sticks to the road and handles extremely well with the aid of the sports suspention setup and Hydratrak diff.
The torqy grunt down low is awesome. Whilst it is not quite the supercar of today, it is obivous why it was labelled as one of the best in 1997.
Nice to own a piece of history considering it is was beefed up with a custom 355 HSV Stroker kit and one of the last Holden castine blocks released (before the US Alloy Chevs were introduced)
Bottom line is that it still has the curves to match the looks of the latest release HSV's.
