"Dream car, a real head turner"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Alloy wheel failed with no impact (honest).

A few rattles especially around the hatch.

Gear knob keeps coming loose.

Raint is a bit weak (Racing Blue).

General comments?

Love the car.

Great dealer.

Easy to drive.

Get the 2.0 ltr.

I agree that this is a dream car however, I have - ONLY VERY RECENTLY - purchased a BLACK coupe F2 and I am unable to find any rattling around the boot area and the paint job seem as hard as any other car I have seen.

The only complaints that I have is that the tyres are a little expensive and the engine could use a tune.

The gear knob has to be watched for damage - however it's easy to get fixed.

Insurance companies will insist on a CAT 1 alarm and immobiliser, but apart from those problems the car is a class act and a brilliant drive.

As a 21 year old driver, this type of car, I thought was always out of my reach, however, an understanding dealer, Main Road, Durham, helped me buy this car. I have an F2 Coupe in racing blue, and would agree that it turns a great deal of heads, after a professional tuning and an Evo style big bore exhaust, the engine note is far more pleasing than the standard one! Easy to drive slowly around town, makes it an ideal everyday car for an enthusiast. No gripes at all with it, and it still looks fantastic, even with all of this new age design that's around at the minute.

I've just bought a '98 F2 in racing blue. I think it's brilliant! In fact I keep think of excuses to go somewhere just so that I can drive it.

Only gripe : not much cabin space for storage (but what else did I expect?), otherwise PERFECT.

I bought F2 in racing blue new in 1998. It has only done 44,000 miles and the problems that I have had to date echo the above, however I have went through five wheel bearings in that time which has to be excessive. This accounts for three on the front passenger side, one on the front drivers side and one on the back??? I love the car, but the expense of constantly changing out the wheel bearings means I will now sell it and not buy another Hyundai until I am sure the wheel bearings have been upgraded.
